BloodRayne the movie, the big-screen adaptation
of the popular Majesco video game with the same
name, has all the good stuff including a great cast
and director. With a smashing $50 million budget,
a sexy heroine you could die for, Oscar winner Sir
Ben Kingsley, Michelle Rodriguez and Michael Madsen
etc. in the cast, this movie is likely to be one
of next year's big blockbusters.
Kristanna Loken will play Bloodrayne, a half-human,
half-vampire trained by the government to hunt down
supernatural threats around the globe. Sir Ben Kingsley
will play Kagan, King of the Vampires, Bloodrayne's
father, receiving avenge being responsible for her
mother's rape and murder...
I have been given the privilege of preparing a small
list of questions interviewing our favourite movie
star "Bloodrayne" and her "puppeteer" Director Uwe
Boll, dedicated all the fans out there :-)
Kristanna.com: Video games to film are a new and
ground breaking trend growing more popular every
day. You are not so unfamiliar with this having
two others on your record: House of the Dead and
Alone in the Dark. How big will this market be in
ten years from now?
Uwe Boll: This market will grow. Per year 3 or
4 videogame movies will happen.
Kristanna.com: How great was it to get both Kristanna
Loken and Sir Ben Kingsley to sign on?
Uwe Boll: I was so happy to get this two great
actors and even more.
Kristanna.com: If you are making a sequel in two
years, how important will Kristanna Loken be for
that production, being the title character of this
one?
Uwe Boll: She will be very important and she
is allready committed to do a sequel.
Kristanna.com: In October BloodRayne 2, the second
game in the BloodRayne series will hit the shelves.
But naturally, unlike Kristanna's other games based
on 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" including
the just released 'Terminator 3: The Redemption",
the title character of the BloodRayne games do not
yet have Kristanna's likeness. Is it likely that
this will change in the future?
Uwe Boll: Absolutly. Kristanna should be the
face of BLOODRAYNE 3.
Kristanna.com: The video game heroin is well known
for certain advantages, also being showed off in
the October issue of Playboy. Clearly the movie
goers will have expectations, hoping for a glimpse,
knowing she arrived naked in 'Terminator 3: Rise
of the Machines". How will these expectations affect
the final outcome of the movie?
Uwe Boll: We have a hot sex scene.
Dear Kristanna, I have prepared a few questions
for you too, here we go:-)
Kristanna.com: BloodRayne is your second movie after
'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", including
the soon to be released 'Kingdom in Twilight". Please
tell me with your own words, what is your new movie
all about?
Kristanna Loken: the movie is about a woman who
is half human and half vampire. She comes to terms
with accepting the vampire half of herself, and
is fueled by her human passion and heart. It is
an inward journey that is manifested in her outward
rage.
Kristanna.com: BloodRayne has a great cast, including
"Ghandi" Oscar-winner Sir Ben Kingsley that will
play Kagan, King of the Vampires, Bloodrayne's father.
How exited are you to have such an experienced and
talented actor to co-star with you in this movie?
Kristanna Loken: I learned a lot working with
Sir Ben and shared a lot of laughs.
Kristanna.com: In comparison to 'Terminator 3: Rise
of the Machines", of whom you where 'hand" picked
between 10.000 other auditioning 'female terminators",
and had to audition again and again, how was the
auditioning process for BloodRayne?
Kristanna Loken: They came to me and asked if I
were interested in this project. I have always wanted
to do a vampire movie.
Kristanna.com: The video game heroin will appear
in the October issue of Playboy with a number of
other virtual characters. Of course, the computer-generated
beauty of the BloodRayne video games does not have
your likeness. If it had, would you allow it? And
would your ever pose nude in Playboy your self?
Kristanna Loken: I'll never say never.
Kristanna.com: BloodRayne is Uwe Boll's third video
game-to-film effort. How important will his experience
be for the successful outcome of this movie? How
is he to work with?
Kristanna Loken: Uwe has a wonderful light fun
energy and I think he has a very creative vision.
Kristanna.com: Here's an off topic question: You
are now seen in a music video for a love song called
'Come To Me", how did this happen?
Kristanna Loken: My father wrote the song. My
very good friend directed it and her boyfriend composed
the melody. It was a collaborative effort of friends
and family.
Kristanna.com would like to thank them both taking
a break from their busy schedule shoting 14 hours
each day!
